Abstract

650 probable cases of acute hepatitis of unknown aetiology in children have been reported to the World Health Organization from 33 countries between April 5th to May 26th of 2022. Hepatitis A is the most common cause of infectious hepatitis in pediatric patients. This systematic review was conducted to provide a comprehensive overview of the epidemiology of hepatitis A in Indonesian children. The research method is a systematic review of the literature from Google Scholar, ProQuest, Pubmed, ScienceDirect and Cochrane database. The literature found were 390 articles and only 16 articles that can be reviewed systematically which passed the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Syatematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) algorithm used in this systematic review. From this systematic review, it can be concluded that hepatitis A in Indonesian children is mostly on boys aged 11-17 years old with a bad habit of washing hands without soap in East Java Province.
